Cabot - 17 months old

Well, the little Cabot is quite the monkey now. He climbs on chairs and stools all over the place, and as soon as he is standing on them he gets a huge grin and claps for himself. He also loves to dance – especially to the “Hot Dog” dance at the end of “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” and to the clap your hands and stamp your feet song from BoBo’s music class.

Unfortunately, Cabot has also gotten his feet and legs stuck in his crib a few times lately. One time was so bad we couldn’t get him out until we slathered his leg and the crib in baby lotion!

The little cutie also loves Mickey Mouse ever since we went to Disneyworld – and the first thing he does in the morning is get a burp rag, a blanket, some books and his baby Mickey and he rocks Mickey in his rocking chair. As soon as he is done there he heads to Riley’s room to climb up on his bed and play. When he is tired he loves to rock downstairs with a blanket, a sippy cup and three stuffed Mickeys and zone out watching Mickey on tv. He also wraps his baby Mickey up all snuggly and carries him around.

Cabot is really trying to talk a lot, and often he gets frustrated when we can’t understand him. Here are some things he says that we can understand:

BoBo (he is SOOO cute when he is sad and calling for BoBo)
Hi
Bye-Bye
Burp Wag (burp rag - and he gets a soft flannel one off the shelf to rock with or walk around and rub on his cheek when he is tired)
Milk
Mo Milk (more milk – and he tries to get in the fridge to get it too)
Ball (which he can throw – and CATCH while standing up without a lap to aide in the catching)
Mi Mouse ( Mickey Mouse)
Don Duck (Donald Duck – and he sings Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck when I sing the Mickey Mouse March)
Mote (Remote – and he often says “mote, mi mouse” while pointing at the remote and the tv trying to get me to turn on Mickey Mouse for him)
Hot Da (hot dog – the dance at the end of Mickey Mouse)
Boo (Book – so sounds like book not boo)
Uh Oh (and he uses it correctly)
NaNa (Banana - he gets on the stool and tries to get them off the counter)
Tickle, tickle (after he gets tickled he tries to tickle himself and says tickle tickle..)

Cabot LOVES to brush his teeth – he’ll stand their brushing away as long as we let him.
