Busy Friday!

Wow - we had a busy Friday! Jostens has a screening of "High School Musical 3" for employees at 8:30 AM. It was early to get to the theater - but awesome to see it before it opened. Plus, we each got a graduation cap that was used in the actual filming of HSM3!! ( I even got extra from a couple of ladies who didn't have kids) I am still trying to get a photo of Riley and Cabot in the grad caps to post - but they don't want to pose for the camera. I'll get one yet. (= Speaking of owning authentic movie props from HSM3 - you should all go to http://www.jostens.com/ and enter the HSM3 contest to win lots of cool movie props - including the class rings that Troy and Gabriella wore during the movie. Cool stuff!! But, make sure you read the rules about age and relatives to Jostens employees before you enter. (=

After the exciting beginning and popcorn breakfast the day went on to be even more fun!! I got to do my first Art Adventure for Riley's Kindergarten class. It was great!! The kids were so good - they even stayed perfectly quiet and studied the art for a couple of minutes before the discussion, amazing for a room full of 5 year olds!! Then they had a great discussion about the art and they all made their very own houses. They were all very good artists! I took some photos - I'll upload them soon.

And THEN we had a Halloween Costume party at Riley's school. It was a lot of fun and Riley did so good at the ring toss contest that he won his very own HUGE bottle of orange pop! He was so proud and excited! (=

Finally we came home and went to bed. It was certainly a long and fun day!

- On a sad note we found out in Kindergarten that it was Amarah's last day. Amarah is the little girl who walks to the door with Riley every day after school. They are the only two that go to the parent pick-up door instead of the bus door, and sometimes they even held hands coming down the hall. Riley really liked Amarah and told me in the past that he knew her better than the other kids because they got to talk while they waited in the hall to come down. Anyway, she is moving and won't be in their class anymore. She stood up in front of the class and said good-bye (and it was soooo sad when she said she didn't want to move) and all of the kids gave her hugs good bye. On our way home Riley told me he was sad Amarah was leaving because she was pretty much his best friend in Kindergarten. So sad. )=
