Cabot Makes Words - Mommy Takes Candy From A Baby

On our kitchen refrigerator we have a Leap-Frog Letter thing that sings a little song about the letter to you when you put them in there. Cabot loves to put one in and dance around the kitchen with his hands in the air while it plays. The other day he took all the letters off of the fridge and put them on the floor. He arranged them in some random order that made sense to him, stood back and all excited said, "I Made Words". Pretty smart for a 2 year old - knowing that letters make words.

Later that night Shena was telling the story of when she gave some "cookies" (oatmeal teddy grams) to the boys. She put some in a bowl and put them in front of Cabot. She took one for herself and quickly realized by the taste that they had been in our cupboard too long and went over right away to take the bowl away from Cabot to get him something else. Cabot was not happy about it. After Shena finishes the story Cabot turns to me and says in a somewhat pitiful voice, "Daddy, Mommy took my cookies."
