It started the other day when he locked himself in his room (on purpose) and then wrote a note in a little notebook and slid it under his door. The note said.....
"MOM UOP MI DOOR RIT BACK SOON"
translation: Mom, Open up my door. Write Back soon.
Then he knocked and knocked on his door until we came up and saw it. I wrote back, then he wrote more and Riley wrote back, and we just kept sliding it back under the door -- and a new favorite pass time was born. (=
In fact, Cabot could not sleep last night so he started writing notes and sliding them under his door then knocking so John and I could come read them. One said "Is it morning yet?"
Here's a good one: "IS IT MONDAY RIT BAKC SOON"
translation: Is it Monday? Write Back Soon

This is still one of Cabot's favorite things to do - but we're cool with that! He's learning a lot about writing, and he's entertaining us. (=
