Riley Conferences - such a great guy...

We went to Riley's parent/teacher conference tonight. As usual we found out that Riley is doing great in school. It comes as no surprise that he is doing well academically. What made us especially proud were the other great things that Mrs. Chau had to say:

• Riley is very helpful in class. He is always asking to help the teacher or other kids.
• If another kid is having a bad day he actively seeks them out and tries to console them and make them feel better.
• Riley is very aware of the things going on around him. Many kids this age are self centered - not Riley.
• One of Riley's classmates that was there told us that they call him the computer genius. He's his dad's kid! I see a Nerdery career in his future! ;) (posted by John) (=

At the beginning of the year the kids also did an assignment about the important things about themselves - here is Riley's cool one. We got a photo of it hanging on the wall when we went to conferences.

He wrote:
The Important thing about Riley is that he loves school.
He loves reading.
He is thoughtful.
He is helpful.

But the most important thing about Riley is that he loves school.
